About
Weather for agriculture.
We build agricultural weather software for farmers in the United States — for the fieldwork the forecast actually decides.
What we build
FieldCast Weather
Our field-weather app. It puts four forecast models side by side and ranks them by how each has actually performed where you farm.
Why we build it
Every weather app gives you one number and no way to judge it. On a day you are deciding whether to cut, spray or irrigate, that is not enough to go on.
What we are after
More of the underlying data, shown plainly — how much the models disagree, when rain is likely, how hard it will fall, and what it means for the crop.
Where the data comes from
Forecasts come from four public models — the United States GFS, the German ICON, the European ECMWF and the Canadian GEM — through Open-Meteo. Radar, watches and warnings come from the National Weather Service and NOAA. Maps use OpenStreetMap data.
